モーターサイクルのトライアル競技を引退後、1年間の休養。

その当時、人気急上昇中だったマウンテンバイクのダウンヒル競技を始める。

あくまでも趣味として、旅行を兼ねて出場したジャパンシリーズ小樽大会※1。

たまたまそのレースに出場していた鍋島健一選手（のちに全日本選手権3連覇という偉業を達成した伝説のダウンヒルライダー）との出会いが、第二の人生の始まり。

After retiring from the motorcycle trial competition, I rested for 1 year.

At that time, I started downhill of the mountain bike which was rapidly increasing in popularity.

As a hobby to the last, I participated in the Japan Series Otaru Games as a traveling * 1.

The encounter with Kenichi Nabeshima who was in that race (the legendary downhill rider who achieved the accomplishment of the all-Japan championship three consecutive times) is the beginning of the second life.

父が経営するオートバイ専門店「山本レーシングサービス」の接客スペース。ダウンヒル仲間と店舗の一角を占拠し、ジャパンシリーズに参戦。全国各地で開催されるレースを転戦する。

当時の仲間が鍋島選手と末政選手※2。のちに鍋島選手は全日本選手権３連覇、末政選手は全日本選手権13連覇を達成する。

国内敵無しの末政選手も当時はダウンヒルのスピードとコーナーリングに対応できず、同選手のために特別な練習方法を開発したことは懐かしい思い出。

A hospitality space for motorcycle specialty shop "Yamamoto Racing Service" my father runs. I occupied a corner of my father's shop and participated in the Japan Series which was held throughout the country with my fellows.

Fellows at the time were Nabeshima and Suemasa * 2. Nabeshima won three consecutive All-Japan Championships later, Suemasa achieved 13 consecutive championships in the All Japan Championship.

Suemasa with no domestic enemy also was unable to respond to the downhill speed and cornering at that time, and it was a long time to memorize that I developed a special practice method for Suemasa.

マウンテンバイクのダウンヒル競技にはまり、勤めていた会社を退職。

国内最上級エリートクラスのダウンヒルライダーとしてジャパンシリーズに参戦しながら、マウンテンバイク専門店「Pro Shop YRS」を立ち上げる。

同時にYRSオリジナル商品「FFD（フロントフリードライブ）」や「黄色いバネ」※3の開発・販売を始める。

そして今から10年前に、テナント料が安く、一目惚れの現在の店舗に移転。

Pro Shop YRSは、昭和の雰囲気が残る寺家町商店街の一郭にある。

I was absorbed in the mountain bike downhill competition and retired from the company I was working for.

While participating in the Japan Series as an elite class downhill rider, I set up a sports bike specialty shop "Pro Shop YRS".

At the same time, we began to develop and sell YRS original products "FFD (front free drive)" and "yellow spring" * 3.

And ten years ago, I relocated to the current store where the tenant fee is cheap and love at first sight.

Pro Shop YRS is in the vicinity of Jikemachi shopping street where the atmosphere of Showa remains.

1997年にTeam GT JAPANのメカニック兼アドバイザリースタッフに就任。岩瀬選手は全日本チャンピオンを獲得する。

1998年から2005年までは鍋島選手（1999年、2000年、2001年全日本チャンピオン）のメカニックを務め、ダウンヒルバイクの開発も行う。

また自身もマウンテンバイクのデュアル（Dual）競技やフォークロス（Four-Cross）競技の選手としてワールドカップにも積極的に参戦。決勝トーナメントにも進出する。

2005年はTeam BRIDGESTONE ANCHORの宇田川選手（1999年クロスカントリー全日本チャンピオン）のメカニック、2006年は竹本選手（1998年MTBアジア大陸選手権チャンピオン）や辻浦選手（全日本シクロクロス9連覇）のメカニックを務める。

2007年はG Cross HONDA Uchijima の内嶋選手のメカニックを務める。

内嶋選手は全日本チャンピオン・ジャパンシリーズチャンピオンの二冠を達成する。

In 1997, I became a mechanic and advisory staff of Team GT JAPAN. Team GT JAPAN's Iwase won all Japan championship.

From 1998 to 2005, I was a mechanic of Nabeshima (1999, 2000, 2001 all-time champion) and also developed downhill bike.

I also participated actively in the World Cup as a player of mountain bike "Dual" competition and "Four-Cross" competition. I also advanced into the final game.

In 2005, I served as a mechanic of Team BRIDGESTONE ANCHOR 's Udagawa (1999 Cross Country All Japan Champion).

In 2006, I served as a mechanic of Takemoto (1998 MTB Asia Continental Championship Champion) and Tsujiura (All Japan Cyclocross nine consecutive victories).

In 2007, I served as a mechanic of G Cross Honda Uchijima's Uchijima.

Uchijima achieved the two crown of all Japan champion and Japan series champion.

2007年にTeam IKUZAWAのオリジナルダウンヒルバイク「TD-１」を開発（設計・製作）。

このバイクを駆る安達選手※4がジャパンシリーズ富士見パノラマ大会でデビューウィンを果たす。

2008年はTeam IKUZAWAのメカニックを務め、向原選手の2009年全日本チャンピオン獲得に貢献。

2010年は新体制となったTeam IKUZAWAの安達選手※4の専属メカニックを務め、オリジナルダウンヒルバイク「TD-２」を開発する。

In 2007, I developed Team IKUZAWA's original downhill bike "TD-1" (designed / manufactured).

Adachi * 4 on which this downhill bike rides achieved a debut win at the Japan Series Fujimi Panorama Tournament.

In 2008, I served as a mechanic of Team IKUZAWA, and I contributed Mukaihara to win all Japan championships.

In 2010, I served as Team IKUZAWA 's Adachi * 4 exclusive mechanic and developed the original downhill bike "TD - 2".

※4 安達選手は「TD-1」で2007年のジャパンシリーズのシリーズチャンピオンを獲得。2008年には全日本チャンピオンを獲得する。また2010年には全日本チャンピオン・ナショナルチャンピオン・ジャパンシリーズチャンピオンという前人未到の三冠を達成した。

* 4 In 2007, Adachi won the Japan series series champion at "TD - 1". In 2008 he won all Japan championship. Also, in 2010, he achieved three crown of All Japan Champion and National Champion and Japan Series Champion.

2011年よりレースメカニックとしての活動を休止。

自身の趣味としてのレース活動とTeam YRSのバックアップ、そして後進の育成にあたっている。

そして今、ダウンヒルシリーズに参戦。幾度となく表彰台※5にあがっている。

In 2011, I suspended activities as a race mechanic.

Right now, I do race activities as a hobby, back up Team YRS, and I am fostering juniors.

And now  I also participated in the downhill series and won many times * 5.
